Model comparison

Rental bed models: three manufacturer-verified examples

Rental pages often describe a bed category rather than promise a particular frame. These three examples give you model numbers to discuss. They appear in rental offerings, but this comparison does not establish local stock, national popularity or which model a supplier will deliver.

The Invacare 5410IVC and 5310IVC share published size and load specifications but differ in height control. Drive’s Delta 15033 is a full-electric model with several package variants. Request the complete model number and package contents before applying any specification to your rental.

  • Exact model numbers matter.
  • Capacity may include the mattress and accessories.
  • A model specification is not a rental inclusion.

Compare like measurements

Lengths and widths below are in inches. The Invacare manual specifies a tolerance of ±2 inches at each end of its nominal deck-height range. These figures are not mattress-top heights. The reviewed Drive page does not supply a comparable dimension set, so those cells remain unconfirmed.

Read both load limits

A patient limit and a total working-load limit answer different questions. Both limits must be respected; a larger total figure is not permission for an equally heavy occupant. Ask the supplier to account for the actual mattress and accessories rather than subtracting an assumed standard allowance.

Another manufacturer example makes the distinction visible: ProBasics lists 600 lb maximum patient weight and 700 lb total capacity for PB42BARBED. That does not change the limits of its other beds, nor make every bed described as bariatric a 700 lb model.

A suffix can change what is supplied

Drive lists 15033 without rails or mattress, 15033BV-FR with full rails, and 15033BV-PKG-1 with half rails and an innerspring mattress. Use the whole identifier, not just Delta or 15033, when comparing package descriptions.

A rental supplier can offer a different bundle from a manufacturer’s retail package. Ask for separate names for the frame, mattress and rails. If a listing uses a generic photograph, request written confirmation of the supplied components rather than assuming the pictured accessories are included.

Where the rental examples come from

E Care Medical Supplies lists rental packages naming Invacare 5310IVC and 5410IVC. Oswald’s Medical lists a Delta Ultra-Light 1000 full-electric rental. These pages establish rental examples, not an availability guarantee or a promise that every listing uses the same revision.

Manufacturer documents supply the technical specifications. Before accepting a substitute, compare controls, outside footprint, load limits and accessory compatibility again. Keep the supplier’s confirmation with the quote so a model change does not silently change the plan.

Common questions

Why not rank these beds from best to worst?

Specifications do not establish a universal winner. The useful comparison is whether the delivered bed, mattress, controls and footprint meet the requirements you have confirmed with the supplier and care team. No hands-on testing was performed for this guide.

Can I use the Delta 15030 specifications for a 15033?

Do not merge them. Drive identifies 15030 as semi-electric and 15033 as full-electric. Similar product names and shared accessories do not make their controls or every configuration identical.

What if the rental listing never gives a model number?

Treat the specification as unconfirmed. Ask the supplier to identify the frame and provide its manual before relying on a particular size, capacity or accessory. Record any promised substitute in the same way.
